When working with survey data, it's not uncommon to encounter commas in write-in fields. These can be added by respondents or even by Alchemer itself when formatting the data. In my case, I rely heavily on 'Other - write in' fields, particularly within multi-select (checkbox) questions. To facilitate filtering in Airtable, I take a meticulous approach to matching each question type with its corresponding field/column type.

For instance, likert scales and other radio button questions are mapped to single-select fields, while checkbox questions are linked to multi-select fields/columns. Open-text questions, on the other hand, are matched with single/long text field/column types. This strategic approach enables me to effectively organize and categorize my data in Airtable.

To automate this process, I utilize Zapier to send survey responses from Alchemer directly to Airtable. By integrating these two tools, I'm able to streamline data entry and ensure that my survey responses are accurately mapped to the corresponding fields in Airtable.
